    Gaidinliu Pamei (26 January – 17 February ) popularly known as Rani Gaidinliu was an Indian Naga spiritual and freedom fighter, political leader who led a revolt against British rule in India.[1] At the age of 13, she joined the Heraka religious movement of her cousin Haipou Jadonang. The movement later turned into a political movement seeking to drive out the British from Manipur . Within the Heraka faith, she came to be considered an incarnation of the Goddess Cherachamdinliu.[2] Gaidinliu was arrested in at the age of 16, and was sentenced to life imprisonment by the British rulers.     Senapati, Aug 29 :  Zeliangrong Union, Zeliangrong Women Union and Zeliangrong Students Union, Senapati Zone today jointly observed the 91st death anniversary of Haipou Jadonang at Maram Secretariat, Senapati.
    It was attended by Gabriel Chawang, president, Zeliangrong Students Union, Senapati Zone; Ng Luikang Chawang, president Zeliangrong Union, Senapati Zone; and ML Kaisungbou, Additional Superintendent of Police, Senapati among others.
    Speaking on the occasion, Gabriel Chawang stated that the late freedom fighter Jadonang Malangmei () popularly known as Haipou Jadonang was a Naga spiritual leader and political activist from Manipur, British India.
    "He established the Heraka religious movement which was based on the ancestral Naga religion and declared himself to be the Messiah King of the Nagas. His movement was widespread in the Zeliangrong territory before the conversion to Christianity", said Gabriel.
